Olympic champion Ryoko Tamura flipped over would-be rival Chiho Hamano moments before time in the 48-kg final Sunday to claim her 11th straight title in the women's judo weight-category national championships.
Tamura, who won the gold medal at last fall's Sydney Olympics, was promptly named to the Japanese national team for the world championships in July in Munich, Germany, where she will be seeking her fifth straight title.
