Olympic judo champion Kosei Inoue made short work of older brother Tomokazu in the 100-kg final Sunday to win his second straight title in the men's weight-class national invitational championships.

Shinichi Shinohara, who lost to Frenchman David Douillet in a controversial final in the 2000 Sydney Games, eased to his fifth crown in the over 100-kg category, but 81-kg gold medalist Makoto Takimoto was upset in the first round.

In the 100-kg final, Inoue scored a clear ippon victory with an "uchimata" leg trip just 27 seconds into the match at Fukuoka Municipal Gymnasium and assured himself a place in the world championships in Munich in July.

Shinohara's heavyweight reign continued as he notched a yusei victory over Tatsuhiro Muramoto in the over 100-kg final and will now bid to repeat his double gold medal performance at the 1999 world championships in Birmingham, England.

Helped by Takimoto's early exit, Masanori Koyama won the 81-kg final against Atlanta Olympic gold medalist Kanzo Nakamura, whose older brother Yukimasa Nakamura took the 66-kg title for the seventh consecutive year.
