Tsuyoshi Shimoyanagi tossed a two-hitter as the Nippon Ham Fighters blanked the Daiei Hawks 1-0 at the Fukuoka Dome on Saturday.
Yoshinori Ueda homered for the lone run of the game in the fourth inning off Daiei starter Kazumi Saito.
Saito (0-1) went the distance, fanning nine batters.
