said Sunday it will accept ticket applications for this year's Confederations Cup, a rehearsal event for the 2002 World Cup finals, for 10 days beginning April 1.

Domestic ticket applications for the May 30-June 10 tournament will be accepted via mail and over the Internet at the JFA's official Web site ( 2001.jfa.or.jp), with winners selected by lottery and notified in early May.

Ticket prices are set at 3,000 yen to 7,000 yen for first-round matches and 5,000 yen to 11,000 yen for the June 10 final in Yokohama.

Like next year's World Cup finals, Japan and South Korea will cohost the eight-nation Confederations Cup, which also features Australia, Brazil, Cameroon, Canada, France and Mexico.
