Yuji Iwamoto had a goal and two assists and Stefan Figluzzi assisted on three goals Sunday as Snow Brand defeated Oji Paper 6-2 to win the best-of-five Japan Ice Hockey League playoff semifinal series three games to two.
The victory lifted Snow Brand, slated to be disbanded at the end of this season, into the best-of-five championship series against the Kokudo Bunnies, who earlier swept the Nippon Paper Cranes in the other semifinal series.
The series gets under way March 31 at Shin-Yokohama Prince Hotel Skate Center.
