-- Second-year pro Tomohiro Kondo put together his second straight bogey-free round at the Dydo-Drinco Shizuoka Open golf tournament Friday to take a one-stroke lead midway through the 100 million yen event.

Kondo, teeing off with a share of the lead at 68, carded five birdies in his second tour of the 6,897-yard Hamaoka Course at Shizuoka Country Club to edge one-shot ahead of fellow overnight co-leader Eiji Mizoguchi with a 9-under-par 135. Mizoguchi, meanwhile, ran in four birdies for his second straight 68 to go to 8-under 136.
