The Central League said Tuesday it will make a concerted effort to allow more of its professional baseball players to join Japan's national baseball team for the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens.
The CL, which limited the number of pros it made available for the Japan team at the Sydney Olympics last September to two, said it will "cooperate" in making a balanced pro-am side in a bid to bring home a medal at the Athens Games.
