Former Poland international Piotr Sowisz has signed a one-year deal to play for Kyoto Purple Sanga this season, officials of the J. League Second Division club said Thursday.
The 29-year-old midfielder has already played four preseason games for Kyoto since arriving Feb. 6.
In other J. League news, Cerezo Osaka goalkeeper Seigo Shimokawa will be out of action for at least a month after breaking two fingers during training earlier this week.
