Elena Zadorojnaia and Olga Egorova set records in their respective legs of the Yokohama women's international ekiden Sunday to lead Russia to its first victory in six years in the annual long-distance road relay.

Russian runners won five of the six legs of the 42.195-km relay to win in a record time of 2 hours, 12 minutes, 50 seconds -- more than 3 minutes in front of runnerup Japan.

Japan, despite a strong opening leg by Rie Ueno, was second in 2:16:13, followed by Romania in third at 2:16:39.
