J. League Secretary General Kazuki Sasaki said Tuesday that J. League teams could be fined up to 50 million yen or even docked as many as 15 points this season for crossing the disciplinary line.
Sasaki also confirmed that, as part of the J. League's new get-tough policy, clubs could find themselves banned from the following year's Nabisco Cup for overstepping the mark in the annual knockout tournament.
And J. League officials said that they may hit offending clubs with a similar ban if there is a repeat of last April's Nabisco Cup controversy in which Avispa Fukuoka fielded a second 11 in its first-round tie with JEF United.
