Local rugby team the Tokyo Crusaders will play a pair of memorial matches on March 4 for former player Gareth MacFadyen of New Zealand, who died late last year at the age of 24.
The matches will be against Yokohama Country and Athletic Club at the YCAC ground in Yamate.
A regular-team game at 12:30 will be followed by a seniors game, weather permitting. There is no admission fee.
MacFadyen died Dec. 18, four days after a coworker set fire to his grass skirt at a "Hawaiian Night" Christmas party.
The Crusaders are flying MacFadyen's parents in from New Zealand to attend the match.
