Poland shook off Canada's late comeback attempt for a 6-5 victory Saturday in a three-nation ice hockey event to commemorate the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics.

First-period goals from Wojciech Tkacz, Michal Garbocz and Tomasz Mieszkowski gave a 3-0 lead to the Poles, who went on to win after surviving a pair of Canadian goals in the final three minutes at the Big Hat.

Poland (1-0) plays Japan (0-1) in the final tournament game on Sunday.

Canada, which edged Japan in a shootout on Friday, finished at 1-1.
