Norway's Kari Traa and Janne Lahtela of Finland lived up to their No. 1 World Cup moguls rankings with victories at the tour's Inawashiro meet Saturday, while home favorite Aiko Uemura matched her career best with a runnerup finish.

Traa posted the highest marks in turns and had the fastest time, earning her 25.02 points as she turned the tables on Uemura, who advanced through Friday's qualifying round in first place but wound up finishing 0.14 point behind the winner in the women's final.

Shannon Bahrke of the United States took third with 24.12 points.

The victory was the 14th of her career and fourth this winter on the World Cup circuit for the women's moguls champion at last month's freestyle skiing world championships in Whistler, Canada.

In the men's moguls final, Lahtela's superb turns helped him to his 13th career win and third of the season with 26.17 points, just 0.04 ahead of Pierre-Alexander Rousseau of Canada.
