TAMPA, Fla. -- The weather report says it'll be fine with partly cloudy skies on Sunday, but the New York Giants will be looking for "Thunder and Lightning" at Raymond James Stadium when the NFC champions square off against the Baltimore Ravens in Super Bowl XXXV.
"Thunder and Lightning" is the nickname given to the Giants' running-back combination of Ron Dayne (Thunder) and Tiki Barber (Lightning). The two backs produced a combined 1,776 yards and 13 touchdowns on the ground to help the Giants to a 12-4 record in the regular season.
The 5-10, 253-pound Dayne is much more a tackle-to-tackle back while Barber serves as an outside threat. Barber also has good hands (719 yards on 70 receptions) and returns punts. He set a franchise record with 2,089 all-purpose yards this season.
