Japanese, South Korean and Chinese soccer officials are set to meet next month to discuss the possibility of a "Super League" involving club sides from the three countries, sports sources said Tuesday.

Representatives from the J. League will host a first-ever conference with officials from the South Korean K-League and China's C-League in Tokyo on Feb. 1-2, with further meetings reportedly planned in South Korea and China.

J. League secretary general Kazuki Sasaki, his South Korean counterpart Kim Won Dong and China's Zhang Jilong, a vice president of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), will discuss topics such as the creation of an intercontinental league and all-star games.
