Japan has been drawn to face Argentina at home in the first round of this year's Fed Cup World Group, the Japan Tennis Association said Monday.
The tie will be played on April 28-29 at a venue to be announced by Japanese tennis officials on Tuesday.
If successful against Argentina, Japan will face Germany in the second round of the Fed Cup, the WTA tour's version of the men's Davis Cup.
