French national coach Roger Lemerre on Sunday denied that his World Cup squad will hold a training camp in the southwestern city of Ibusuki in preparation for the 2002 tournament in Japan and South Korea.
"If we play first-round matches in South Korea, we'll select South Korea in the first place. So we won't hold a camp in Ibusuki before going to South Korea," said Lemerre, who was in Tsukuba to attend a football seminar.
