Olympic veteran Masahiko Harada equaled Sunday's longest jump of 131.5 meters to come from behind and win the STV Cup ski jumping competition for the first time in nine years.

The 32-year-old Harada could only manage sixth place after a 119-meter effort in the first round of jumps at the K-120 Okurayama hill, but pulled off the victory by matching Yuta Watase's second leap for a winning total of 253.9 points.

Snow Brand teammate Sota Okamura, 23, had steady jumps of 125 and 123 meters, but failed to preserve his first-round lead and had to settle for second place with 249.4 points.

Hideharu Miyahara, Japan's best-placed finisher on last season's World Cup circuit, finished third just 0.4 of a point behind Okamura.
