Yokohama FC, formed by former Yokohama Flugels supporters and recently promoted to Division Two of the J. League, named Yoshikazu Nagai manager for next season in a one-year deal, the club announced Sunday.
Nagai, 48, a Japan striker in the 1970s, took over from German Pierre Littbarski, who left Yokohama at the end of this past season to take a coaching job at German League club Leverkusen.
Nagai managed JEF United Ichihara in 1992-93, Fukushima in 1996 and Albirex Niigata from 1998-2000.
