Infielder Shinya Miyamoto netted a hefty pay raise Tuesday, re-signing with the Yakult Swallows for 118 million yen next season, officials of the Central League club confirmed.
Miyamoto, 30, earned a 46 million yen pay hike after batting .300 for the first time in six years as a pro, also registering three home runs and 55 RBIs as he played in all 136 games for Yakult this past season.
