Chiba Lotte Marines pitcher Tomohiro Kuroki, who was a member of Japan's Sydney Olympic squad in September, agreed Tuesday to an 18 million yen pay cut, re-signing with the Pacific League club for 162 million yen for next season.

Kuroki, racked up double-digit wins for the fourth straight year in 2000, but went 3-9 over the first half of the season, thought to be one of the factors behind his first-ever pay cut in what will be his seventh year as a pro.
