The Yokohama BayStars cut 5 million yen from the salary of former Central League batting champ Takanori Suzuki on Monday, signing the All-Star outfielder for two years at 180 million yen per year plus 40 million yen in bonus incentives.
The 28-year-old Shizuoka native hit .297 with 20 homers and 89 runs batted in this past season.
