Veteran Seibu Lions catcher Tsutomu Ito agreed to a 25 percent pay cut Monday as the perennial All-Star backstop re-signed with the Pacific League club for 135 million yen next season.

Ito, who will enter his 20th year as a pro next spring, has apparently received overtures from Seibu about a position on the club's coaching staff, but said he wants to play on, despite hitting only .212 with five home runs and 19 RBIs this past season.
