Shingo Katayama fired a 6-under-par 66 on Thursday to grab a share of the lead in the first round of the season-ending Fancl Okinawa Open.
Katayama, gunning for his fifth win of the season and the No. 1 spot on this year's money rankings, knocked down five birdies and an eagle against one bogey at the Palm Hills Golf Resort to sit atop the leaderboard with Ikuo Shirahama, who holed seven birdies and a bogey.
