JFL champion Yokohama FC confirmed on Monday that its German manager Pierre Littbarski has been offered a coaching job at Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen.

"Litti told me he's been offered the job and is thinking the offer over," said Yasuhiko Okudera, the general manager of Yokohama FC who was recently named the club's president. "We're begging him to stay with us for next season but if he really wants to take the job, we'll respect his decision. I've told him he has to decide what to do."

Littbarski, 40, has been offered the job as an assistant coach to new manager Berti Vogts at Leverkusen.
