Outfielders Hideki Matsui of the Yomiuri Giants and Ichiro Suzuki of the Orix BlueWave were named to the Central and Pacific League "Golden Glove" teams on Tuesday for their stellar fielding in the 2000 season.
Matsui, who won the Japan Series MVP Award last month, received the Golden Glove honor for the first time and was one of four Giants players named to the CL lineup. Yomiuri pitcher Kimiyasu Kudo, second baseman Toshihisa Nishi and outfielder Yoshinobu Takahashi were also selected.
Ichiro topped the PL balloting for the seventh year in a row.
