JFL champion Yokohama FC is facing further trouble in its bid to join the J. League's second division.
While the club has qualified in footballing terms by winning the Japan Football League title, a hearing held to check its other credentials has been postponed after a "takeover bid" within the club, a Yokohama club official said Thursday.
The club, formed by former Yokohama Flugels supporters two years ago, was hoping to receive approval for promotion at a J. League executive committee meeting on Nov. 21. But a rift within the club has put that in jeopardy.
