Kiyoshi Hatsushiba nailed two homers and Hiroo Ishii added another clout for Lotte as the Marines beat the Daiei Hawks 8-5 at Chiba Marine Stadium on Thursday, putting Daiei's second straight Pacific League crown on hold.
With the loss, Daiei's magic number remains at one.
With the game tied 4-4 in the fifth, the Marines took the lead for good on a three-run burst highlighted by Hatsushiba's two-run homer off Hidekazu Watanabe (0-2).
