Kazuhisa Ishii held the Central League champion Yomiuri Giants to just three hits over eight innings Thursday as the Yakult Swallows romped to a 9-0 win over the Yomiuri Giants at Jingu Stadium in Tokyo.
Ishii (9-9) fanned nine and allowed only a pair of walks for his sixth straight win while Yakult plated seven runs on six hits in the fifth and sixth innings to break the game open for its 15th win against the Giants this season.
