Melvin Bunch held Yomiuri to two hits in six-plus innings and Kosuke Fukudome and Kazuyoshi Tatsunami hit solo homers as the Chunichi Dragons iced the Giants' pennant-clinching celebration with a 7-2 win at the Tokyo Dome.
Chunichi's victory left Yomiuri one win -- or a Chunichi loss -- shy of clinching its first Central League pennant since 1996. The Giants have five games remaining on their schedule while the Dragons must play 11 more to wrap up the season.
Bunch (13-9) surrendered nine walks during his stint, but came up with the big out when he needed it for his CL-best 13th win of the season.
