Hanshin outfielder Tomochika Tsuboi doubled home a pair of runs in the ninth inning Tuesday and the Hanshin Tigers ended a four-game losing streak to the Yomiuri Giants by winning 3-1 at the Tokyo Dome.
Despite their fourth straight loss, the Giants kept control of the Central League pennant race when the Chunichi Dragons lost to the Hiroshima Carp.
Yomiuri remains on top of the CL standings by 5 1/2 games over the Dragons, while the Yokohama BayStars trail by seven despite winning their sixth in a row.
