Kazuhiro Wada hit a three-run homer and Tony Fernandez rapped out three hits, scoring twice and driving in two more runs, as the Seibu Lions stopped the Kintetsu Buffaloes 6-0 at the Seibu Dome on Thursday.
Seibu starter Kiyoshi Toyoda (5-5) scattered five hits over eight innings for the win, striking out eight and not allowing a baserunner beyond second after the second inning.
Seibu's third win in a row lifted the Lions to a season-high 12 games over .500 and sliced Daiei's lead in the Pacific League standings to a half game.
