Kashima midfielder Yasuto Honda slid the ball into his own next after connecting with a low cross from Cerezo forward Hiroaki Morishima six minutes into extra time after both sides wasted several scoring opportunities in 90 minutes.
The Antlers, who have 18 points from seven matches, are just one point clear of Gamba Osaka, which defeated FC Tokyo 2-1 in extra time at Expo Stadium.
