Yomiuri lefty Kimiyasu Kudo gave up two hits and struck out 13 over the distance in his first shutout game since last July, carrying the Central League-leading Giants to a 1-0 win over the Yakult Swallows Friday at the Tokyo Dome.
Kudo got his 10th win of the season with his first complete game since he joined the Giants before the season.
Takayuki Shimizu hit a single to shallow right field to drive in the game's sole run for Yomiuri with runners on first and second and two outs in the third inning.
