Roberto Petagine connected for a two-run homer to right field in the top of the eighth inning Wednesday to power the Yakult Swallows to a 3-2 come-from-behind victory over the Yokohama BayStars at Yokohama Stadium.
Yokohama scored two runs in the first inning off Yakult starter Koji Takagi but the Swallows came back with a run in the fourth before Petagine's 17th homer of the season sealed the victory.
Yakult reliever Hirotoshi Ishii (2-1) came on in the seventh and picked up the win after one scoreless inning of work and Shingo Takatsu retired the side in the ninth for his 19th save as the Swallows halted the BayStars' five-game winning streak.
