Elsewhere, Brazilian forward Amaral scored a hat trick to lift FC Tokyo to a 3-0 win over Kawasaki Frontale at Tokyo's National Stadium. Amaral struck in the 26th, 56th and 65th minutes to improve his tally to 10.
Title contender Shimizu S-Pulse suffered a 1-0 defeat to Avispa Fukuoka at home after giving away a goal to former Shimizu forward Hiroki Hattori in the 16th minute. Shimizu had lost to Avispa 3-0 in the first stage in Fukuoka.
