Australian Minister for Sport and Tourism Jackie Kelly predicted Tuesday that September's Sydney Olympics will be a success, despite the scandals that have plagued preparations.
Speaking at the Australian Embassy in Tokyo, Kelly said the 2000 Olympics would be "one of the best in history and the least controversial."
Preparations for the Games, however, have caused controversy in Australia, with the public there outraged when it was revealed that organizers of a public ballot to allocate tickets had saved the best ones for firms and rich individuals.
