Outfielder Akira Otsuka doubled in the winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning Thursday to lift the last-place Lotte Marines to a 5-4 victory over the Seibu Lions at Chiba Marine Stadium.
Pinch-hitter Shinji Hata tied the game with a double to right off reliever Shinji Mori and then came home on Otsuka's liner to right to give the Marines the lead.
Reliever Masahide Kobayashi (5-6), who came on in the sixth inning, picked up the win after tossing 2 1/3 scoreless innings and closer Brian Warren retired the side in the ninth to pick up his 12th save of the season.
