Hitoshi Tamura doubled home the go-ahead run in the seventh inning Friday as the Yokohama BayStars ended the Yomiuri Giants' seven-game winning streak with a 7-6 victory.
A sacrifice fly by Takanori Suzuki cut Yomiuri's lead to one run before Tamura's two-out, bases-loaded double capped a three-run rally for the BayStars, who got out of the Central League cellar with the win at Yokohama Stadium.
Reliever Yukiya Yokoyama (2-1) got the win and Masao Morinaka retired the final two batters to pick up his first save of the season. Hideki Okajima (2-1) was tagged for three runs for the loss.
