Bobby Rose and Norihiro Komada each drove in three runs Saturday as the Yokohama BayStars pounded out 16 hits en route to a 9-6 victory over the Yakult Swallows at Yokohama Stadium.
Rose doubled in a pair of runs in the first inning and the BayStars scored four more in the third to knock out Yakult starter Kenjiro Kawasaki (4-5) who took the loss.
Rookie Atsushi Kizuka (3-2) came on in the fifth and picked up the win after tossing three scoreless innings and closer Kazuo Fukumori recorded the final two outs for the save to give the BayStars their third straight victory.
