Japan Football Association president Shunichiro Okano said Thursday that members of the JFA board and the council have agreed to allow him to decide whether Japan manager Philippe Troussier should be kept on after June.
"They've left the matter to me. I'd like to find an answer which can convince our players and fans," said Okano shortly after a JAWOC ceremony in Tokyo. Okano said he will make a decision after consulting with JFA vice president and technical development department chief Kunishige Kamamoto following the next four games, two in Morocco and another two in the Kirin Cup.
Okano flew to Morocco on Thursday night to attend Japan's two games there in the King Hassan II Cup.
