Southpaw Terry Burrows tossed a two-hitter over seven strong innings Saturday as the Pacific League-leading Orix BlueWave downed the Lotte Marines 4-1 at Chiba Marine Stadium for their sixth straight victory.
Burrows (2-0) fanned six and gave up only one run -- a solo homer to Frank Bolick in the fourth -- to pick up his second straight victory since being acquired by the BlueWave last month from the Oakland Athletics' Triple-A affiliate in Sacramento.
Troy Neel and Hirofumi Ogawa each drove in a run in the sixth and Yasuo Fujii belted a two-run homer in the eighth to seal the victory as Orix opened up a three-game lead over the Seibu Lions.
