Pinch hitter Yutaka Wada smacked a go-ahead RBI single in the seventh inning as the Hanshin Tigers edged the Yakult Swallows 5-4 at Koshien Stadium on Saturday for their seventh straight victory -- their longest streak in seven years.
With the score tied 3-3 in the seventh, Wada drove home the go-ahead run from third on a single to center field, and Tomochika Tsuboi followed with an RBI single as the Tigers took the lead for good.
The loss was Yakult's 10th straight.
