Former Hanshin hurler Darrell May stuck it to his old boss Wednesday night as he combined with three relievers on a four-hitter and drove in the go-ahead run with a sacrifice fly as the Yomiuri Giants defeated the Tigers 7-1 at Koshien Stadium.
May struck out seven and walked two for his second win in as many starts. With the game tied 1-1 in the fourth, May sacrificed home the go-ahead run and Toshihisa Nishi followed with an RBI double to give Yomiuri a 3-1 lead.
Yoshinobu Takahashi was 3-for-3 and doubled home two runs in the Giants' four-run seventh.
