ATLANTA -- People call them the Warner Bros. But there won't be any Tweety or Sylvester at the Georgia Dome when the Tennessee Titans face the St. Louis Rams on Sunday in the Super Bowl XXXIV.
Rams quarterback Kurt Warner, who suddenly gained stardom this season, and his receiving corps are the main reason St. Louis is one game away from an NFL championship. Named the starter after Trent Green went down with a season-ending knee injury in a preseason game, Warner set the (Looney?) tune for the Rams, who are 15-3 this season. The former arena league player completed 325 of 499 attempts for 4,353 yards and 41 touchdowns en route to being named MVP for the regular season. Few knew his name, but suddenly he has become a hero matching Mark McGwire in the city of St. Louis.
So, how does the "Cinderella Boy" feel about his new status?
