Regarding the article "Manga artist removes illustration mocking Syrian refugee" in the Oct. 8 edition, as a citizen of Japan I felt disgusted looking at this racist drawing by Toshiko Hasumi that used an innocent child to represent such perverse prejudice.
This little innocent girl in the picture didn't ask for anything, but the illustrator made it look like she wanted the things that were written on the drawing.
Japanese should be aware of and respect the people in this terrible situation.
