The article of "Modi leads Yoga Day amid skepticism" (June 28, 2015) tells us that June 21 is the International Day of Yoga. It is good news since people all over the world can know yoga and enjoy a better health by doing yoga. I myself have been healthy for many years thanks to yoga practices. Even when I got sick, I could return to a normal life early.
I fully agree with the words of Modi: "Yoga is more than only physical fitness. We are not only celebrating a day, but we are training the human mind to begin a new era of peace." What is something more than physical health and new peace?
The Bhagavad Gita, a Hindu religious text, teaches us that "He who, by likening himself with others, senses pleasure and pain equally for all as for himself is deemed to be the highest yogi." My prayer is that he leads this kind of way of life.
