William Pesek makes some salient points in his article titled "Toyota's drug problem, and Japan's" in the June 28 edition.
Even allowing for the fact that Hamp broke the law — and Japan's extreme intolerance of illegal drugs — "Go ni itte wa go ni shita gae" (When in Rome ...) — another English proverb comes to mind: "Storm in a teacup."
