Regarding the April 24 Jiji article "Fukushima air to stay radioactive in 2022": This type of reporting is valuable. The radiation content in the air near Fukushima will remain dangerous. Other things that need to be discussed is the amount of radiation in the ground and in the waterways of Japan.
Furthermore, there were a number of chemical- and petroleum- related accidents in Japan as a result of the March 11, 2011, earthquake and tsunami. From what I understand, the health dangers from post-3/11 industrial accidents may be as dangerous, if not more so, than the radiation released by the nuclear accident.
