Regarding David McNeill's Dec. 11 article, "Tohoku ¥ for whales?": I was in tears for the Japanese tsunami victims, and I donated a large amount of money that I could not really afford because their suffering was unbearable.
To discover now that Japan has used this money to murder whales and dolphins absolutely breaks my heart. If there was a process by which I could reclaim this blood money, I would take back every penny.
Japan does not own this world and it has no right to kill these intelligent mammals. The thought that it used my money to do so appalls me, and will stay with me for a very long time. Japan is always quick to stand upon its honor. This is one of the most disgusting dishonorable things I have ever heard. The world is watching Japan. Shame on the whale and dolphin killers
